Week 1: Smorgasbord
Week 1 of the Summer Sandbox is a “smorgasbord” of online workshops, tutorials, panels, and discussions. Take one, take them all- it’s up to you! Sessions will be recorded and added to the CTC Resource Referatory.

Week 2: Sandbox
Week 2 is the sandbox portion of the institute. It consists of sandbox time to explore new tools & practices in a supportive environment on your own schedule and with opportunities to present your work for feedback. These drop-in sessions will include lightning rounds, assignment design café, and other venues for collaboration. All Week 2 drop-ins will be hosted in Gathertown unless otherwise stated.

Assignment Design Café: The Cleveland Teaching Collaborative is proud to partner with our colleagues at Cleveland State University’s Center for eLearning, Center for Faculty Excellence, Center for Instructional Technology + Distance Learning, Michael Schwartz Library, & DigitalCSU to offer Assignment Design Café hours during Week 2 of the Sandbox! The Café is also open during the fall and summer semesters if you’d like to check back in after the Sandbox!
Brown Bag Lunch: Informal chat over lunch in Gathertown during Week 1 and 2
CTC Case Study Brainstorming: Join the CTC Team to pitch an idea for the Summer 2021 case study CFP. Not sure what to pitch? Stop in and tell us what you are working on!
Referatory Hackathon: Join the CTC team and add your own favorite resources to the Resource Referatory! Have a set of resources you like? Think about curating a Resource Showcase. We’re here to show you the steps.
Sandbox Space: Open time to come to network, chat, or collaborate with CTC Sandbox participants and organizers. You can arrange to meet in Gathertown (there are private spaces of various sizes).
Snapshots/Lightning Round: Space for participants to post ideas, links, work in progress, assignments etc. to share with the group. Also a space to share a short (3-5 minute) lightning presentation of something you are working on from before or during the Sandbox.
