This Month’s Tinker Talk Speaker: Chris Rennison

Friday, April 8: 11-12 on Zoom

Making Tree Tags in the Makerspace!

The CSU Tree Tour connects Plant Biology students (BIO 300/301) with the flora they study. Students access the tour by aiming their smartphone cameras at tags on select trees on CSU’s campus.  These tags then direct their smartphones to detailed web pages about the trees and a series of study questions related to BIO 301.
This Tinker Talk will feature all of the steps necessary to create your own fully functional tags; from ordering the UV-resistant aluminum to engraving the finished product.  Join Chris Rennison from IS&T and Matthew Johnson from CSU’s Dan T. Moore Makerspace on April 8th for this demonstration and related Q & A session.

Grab a café beverage, chat with facilitators & bring an assignment to reimagine!
